Hello Everyone,

My daughter who is 15 was diagnoised with ulcerative colitis about a year ago. I am still baffled by this as I really do not know where it came from. So here I am with the sincere hope of learning how to help her and keep my promise to her that Mom will help .
I am starting slow and would like to ask Jini or Nicole where do I start. I have read "listen to your Gut" I have been following the stop intestional bleed diet and a version of SCD. She drinks aloe,takes a multi , a calcium since she has limited calcium, a fish oil and colozal at the rate of 3 -3 times a day. We are not on predisone any longer but may be back if the bleeding does not stop. I just really do not know where to start.

My plan is to do the elemental diet this summer as she has anxiety doing it while in school. Until that time what are the best things I can do to help her stop bleeding and when she does remain o.k. at least till June.
