where to begin

Hello,
I am new to this forum and would like to know where to begin. My daughter has ulcerative colitis. She is 15. She was diagnoised a year and a month ago and we are both already to get off the ride of medications that we do not feel help of heal in any way. I have read Breaking the vicious cycle, Listen to your Gut and finished a course in nutrition. How do I start to sift through all the info and get to a starting place. My daughter is currently following a diet free from lactose,wheat,potatoes,corn and really eats extremely healthy. She had a horrible first diagnosis that landed her in the hospital getting 4 bags of blood, got a blood clot was taking blood thinners for 1 month and predisone for 1 month then went to cozoal. She has had 1 bleed in July and went on a 5 day predisone pack then stayed a 4 cozoal for 4 months until 2 weeks ago which is 4 months later and got another bleed and is up to 9 cozoal a day. Where do I begin?Can you ask me specific questions you would need to help us go in the right direction. I feel that you are the path we need to go. Thank you and look forward to heraing from you.
